Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of PlanetExpat, operated by WDJ Marketing Services (Burgemeester Patijnlaan 604, 2585 CC The Hague (’s-Gravenhage), Netherlands). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
Our services
PlanetExpat provides general relocation information and tools: data-driven neighbourhood scores and comparisons, guides and checklists, courses, a community, and housing support. What each paid product includes is described at checkout.
What is not included: we do not provide legal advice, individual immigration case assessments, or representation. See our disclaimer; for advice on your situation, consult a qualified lawyer.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering.
Prices and payment
- All consumer prices are shown including applicable VAT. Payments are processed by our payment provider.
- Paid access is a one-time purchase (lifetime) or a 24-hour pass, as shown at checkout, and unlocks both the Netherlands and Germany sites.
- A subscription, where offered, renews and can be cancelled as described at checkout and in your account.
Formation and access
The contract is formed when we confirm your order. We provide access to the purchased product and send an order confirmation by email to a durable medium.
Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases, subject to the exception for digital content and services you ask us to start immediately. See our Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, resell or redistribute our data or scores, attempt to bypass access controls, or disrupt the service.
No legal advice; liability
Our information is general and provided "as is", drawn from third-party official sources that may contain errors or lag. Nothing here is legal advice and no lawyer-client relationship arises. To the extent permitted by law, PlanetExpat is not liable for decisions made based on our information; nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
Dispute resolution
We are not currently affiliated with a consumer disputes committee (geschillencommissie). If that changes, we will state the body here. You can always contact us first at hello@planetexpat.nl and we will try to resolve the issue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
